A poem about the importance of one's freedom
A Bird in a Gilded Cage

To capture a bird and to put it into a gilded cage
Is cruel and unnatural.
Birds have wings so they can be free
To go wherever their heart decrees.

A gilded cage is nothing but a contraption
To capture the creature which was designed to be free.
It may allow you to possess the bird
But you will never win its affection.
