Amanda Scott is a teenage girl, with a job. She's an actress.
ELIZABETH’S LIES

She was an actress. She was beautiful. She was Elizabeth Jones in the new T.V. show- “Elizabeth’s Lies”, although the title of the show was not yet definite. All in all she was Amanda Scott. She had brown hair, gray green eyes; she was as slim as a stick and had light colored skin. She was amazing, she was popular, and she was perfect. She had the best friends a girl could ask for. She had everything.

“Amanda Scott, our star?” Mr. Matthews called out.

“Here as per usual.” Amanda replied sweetly. Mr. Matthews continued to call out roll while Amanda looked around the class, studying the faces of everyone. Some girls were staring at her intimidated, she new why.

She was a doll… she had the perfect makeup, she had the limo, she had the money. Those other girls, well… they were… different. Amanda was a down to earth person; there was no-one more important to her than her friends and family.

Back to the story- Amanda’s POV:

“Mandy! What ya doing this afternoon?” a hyper voice yelled from down the school hallway.

“Same as usual Jessie, you know that…!” I replied flatly.

“Oh….” She said a little more quietly, with a look of sadness in her eyes.

She smiled sweetly and waved goodbye, then she made her way to her locker as I shut mine and walked out the school doors without a second glance back.  I looked around and a flash of light caught my eye.

“Edward! I’m not kidding, one day I swear I will kill you, IF you continue to do that!” I yelled out to Edward, a friend of mine, who had a crush on me, and never quit taking pictures of me. Out popped a medium sized guy, Edward, from behind a trash can, holding a camera.

“Now wouldn’t that be embarrassing if that was the ‘paparazzi’?” he chuckled quietly as I glared off into the clear sky. He was right though, I could not afford to make that kind of appearance in front of them.

“You’re right….” I said quietly and impatiently.

“Ha Ha, I knew it! Hey, want me to drive you to the set?” he said still laughing, and at the moment, he sounded like a crippled pig… I was sorry to say, but it was true.

“Yes-sir-ee! I yelled out running towards his car already cheering up a bit. He followed pulling the keys out of his pocket and unlocking the doors. I hopped in and buckled my seatbelt, waiting for him to start up the engine.

We drove along for about ten minutes silently until I decided to ‘break the ice’.

“Ed… you ok? Anything on your mind this fine mornin’?” I asked him trying hard not to crack up. He did and then shook his head.

“No, Manda… I’m not alright, there is a lot going on right now, and Dad’s sick and all… so there’s no money rolling in.”

“Ed, everything will be ok.. it’ll all work itself out…”

“I sure hope it will,” he said, and then we were there. He pulled up and I undid my seatbelt basically jumping out of the car before I realized something.

“Hey! Ed, why don’t you stay today?” I asked him.
