Simple poem
I looked inside my jewelry box and saw this silver band
It's been a long time since I wore, a ring upon my hand
I picked it up and looked at it, and with you on my mind
I slipped it on my finger, as I said these words in kind
This ring I wear, I wear for you, to show you how I feel
And for as long as I'm alive this symbol will reveal
That I was made for you to find, and keep me in your heart
And in my heart is where you dwell, we'll never be apart
The joining of our love, two halves, now complete and whole
I give to you the core of me, my love, my heart, my soul
I am yours my love forever, I will always cherish you
Together we can face the world, whatever, just we two
My love for you grows stronger, with every passing day
And I will show you just how much in every single way
And so this ring I wear for you, this simple silver band
It's been a long time since I wore, a ring upon my hand
