the spaceship 'wanderer' at it's greatest jurney. kinda.
"This is from the spaceship 'wanderer'; we've spotted the black hole, heading full speed forward"
"Go ahead, communication's intact"
The ship sliced the sky straight as an arrow as it shot trough the dark nothingness. It was a small thing, about the size of a little passenger's plain, made of a laboratory- made kind of metal that could survive crashing the sun. As a matter of fact, it has. But the great scientists that made this spaceship were actually certain it won't be needed, thanks to a brand-new alien-made force field that could make every gravity pull of any planet equal to a stroll on the surface of the moon. There were eight astronauts inside this tiny vessel, very uncomfortably pressed elbow to elbow facing each other, for safety interests, or so the engineers said. The captain was allowed to walk around to monitor things while the rest monitored the vessele through their two dimensional hologram computers.
Captain strolled around his crew, a spring in his step. He was the commander of the very daring search to find out what's on the other side of a black hole. The captain approached an uneasy looking man who was staring at a digital picture of the space around them.
"Jordan, what do you see?"
"As for now it seems quite. We picked a lazy one" in the computer the captain saw the great turbulence spinning leisurely and getting bigger every second. Lazy black holes were not common, but they existed. The estimation was that they simply existed for so many years of swallowing everything in passing; they were simply 'full'.
The captain moved to the women sitting beside Jordan.
"All inner systems working in perfect synchronization. Plenty of air. No problems at all."
"Yes, thank you Silvia, I was going to ask if our date on Saturday is still on, but it's good to know anyways"
"Not funny sir"
They were in this tiny ship a bit too long- at least seven hours of cramped proximity. His jokes were getting lamer. Though it was necessary for the mother ship to have some distance from that black hole, still, it was a very long travel to get here, and the stress level was getting unbearable.
The captain moved on to the next ship member.
"Lee, how's the communication?"
"They can hear me loud and clear"
"Dana, how's the engine doing?"
"Doing good sir. Not influenced by the pull at all thanks to those shields".
"Aaron, what about the magnetic fields around us?"
"I still can't sense them sir"
"Are you sure?"
"Nothing at all sir, merely static fields, sir"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes sir"
"Well..."
It didn't make any sense. There were always strong magnetic fields in and around a black hole. Every spaceship that has ever got near one of them got her entire electronic control into malfunction when they were thousands kilometers away. The fact that there weren't any was beyond strange. It was downright frightening, for what was to come was unknown.
"Go on checking, expect everything."
"Yessir"
There wasn't much to worry about, he told himself. The system was designed for entirely manual control because of the electronic problems they should have had. The only thing remotely electric on the ship was… the shields.
"Graham"
"Yes sir?"
"How are the shields doing?"
"Doing steady. The pool does not affect our advance."
"Great."
He moved on to the next crew member, that was currently reading a love novel.
"Jeffry."
"Yes captain?"
"Pass my an energy bar"
"Thanks"
"your welcome"
Well, being the physician/psychologist of the crew he really had no other thing to do right now except being in charge of the foods supply and such.
Jordan looked at the flat picture in green on his computer, then moved his eyes to the metal wall in front of him, then back at the green picture, rechecking the tiny changing details at the side of the screen. "We're nearly at the opening" he said.
"cap'n, I suggest you sit down," said graham. "Gravitation is getting knotty here"
"What do you mean?" the captain asked, his voice puzzled.
"Well, I'm not sure, but the system seems to be unstable as a result of interchanging gravitation" "talk in English" "the spaceship is pooled at every direction like a rage dole and you'll get smashed if you won't sit right now".
The spaceship had no windows, so it appeared to make no difference sitting or standing. The captain sat down and secured himself. The interior was not supposed to be affected by the gravity outside or by the ship's movement. It was a safety regulation, really.
after awhile Lee said, "the 'watcher' has a last message for us" the face of an elderly man appeared on the back of Lee's screen.
"'watcher' to 'wanderer', you will be inside the black hole in two minutes. You are the first to go on the most dangerous exploration ever, in the hope of finding the answer to the black holes mystery. We all wish you the best of luck and that you will return alive."
"Thank you, we hope to as well. We'll do the best we can for the sake of our country's pride and for humanity's progress and knowledge."
"And we're all very proud of you"
"O.k. then. 'Wanderer's' crew is out on its way!"
The captain looked at the faces of his crew; they all were waiting now to the unknown to happen. They sat in a circle, each in front of his computer (or book); the atmosphere was getting tenser at the moment. Jeffry put down his book.
"We should be inside right now, right, sir?"
"Yes. Lee, try to send a message"
"'watcher', can you hear me?"

"Loud and clear, were are you?" the voice sounded panicked.
"We seemed to have passed one hundred kilometers since we last spoke…
What do you see?" he asked.
The captain of the 'watcher' sounded hesitant. "Well, you sort of smeared on the edges of the black hole..." "It looked like the entire ship melted..." another voice added in the background in a whisper. "And now you've simply vanished" completed the captain. "Can you still hear us?" another voice joined in.
"yes" the captain of the 'wanderer' answered. "But very weakly. Lee, I suggest you have a chat with their communication manager, so communication is continuous" "yessir"
"Now, Jordan, let us all see what's outside there"
Jordan displayed the outside image on the screen. There was an astonished silence.
"…graham... how are the shields doing?"
"Aaron. What about the electric fields? Got any?"
"…no. well, they just pop and then disappear without reason. Right now there isn't any. Earlier they were just glimpses. I wasn't even sure they actually were there until I rechecked history right now"
"Well, nice to know"
"Yea."
….
Aaron's voice broke the silence "sir, there's a definite electric activity somewhere to our left"
"yes, I see the flashes of it, sir, you should look at this!"
The captain looked. "Well. Wow."
"amazing"
"wow"
"I never knew stuff like this can exist!"
"OMG!!"
"This is simply incredible!"
"Did you see this one in the right corner there?"
"Yes!!"
"Wow!!"
"If we'll ever get out of here alive, no one's going to believe what we saw, Jordan, its all saved, right?"
"Obviously, sir"
"wow, its fantastic!"
"Sir," Aaron said "I think it’s the heart of the turbulence, everything disappears here!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, and it's just a guess sir, but I don’t think this ship is going to last long if we stay here!"
And then they noticed for the first time that the magnificent shapes they saw was actually, somehow, a distorted reflection of their own ship, and it looked like the reflection ship was crumbling away in spirals.
"Graham, what about the shields?" "Sir, they're not showing any sign of weakness. Actually, sir, the turbulence is giving then somehow more strength"
"What?"
"Yes, the field is getting bigger by the second. Can't you feel gravity around you is stabilizing?"
"Yea… Silvia, confirmation?"
"Yes. The gravity in the spaceship is getting more and more like on earth."
"I don't like this sir," said Lee "I can barely hear the base. I'm sending them information in morse and its getting weaker as well"
On the screen, the spaceship was now appearing and disappearing every few seconds, its shape sometimes distorted like in circus mirrors.
"Aaron, what do you say?"
"I say it's brilliant the way the electricity is here. Do you see those lace-like nets? They're electric fields. And they're what make this whole thing move, sir, and the shapes- have you ever seen something like this? Not to mention, there's enough electric power in here to light millions of earths! Jordan, press full screen!"
The walls of metal were removed, revealing thick glass walls.
The spaceship was floating in a foreign place, unmoving.
Around them what looked like sparkling dust and rocks was spinning in giant circles, in the speed of comets, them in the center of it. Gasses in green, red, pink, yellow and every other color imaginable spoon to create new colors, colors they have never seen and had no name for, and were dazzling.
Were they floated was nothing but electric webs netting the air like some three dimensional spider web in bright white.
Ahead of them was the most amazing. It was simply a bright golden and green glow, a great energy that was beyond their wildest dreams and possibilities.
The captain now reflected he never should have eaten that energy bar. His stomach was getting a sickening heavy sensation that told him he was about to puke. He really didn't feel like puking right now.
"Sir?"
"Yes?"
"The gravity in the spaceship is starting to get a bit too much."
"We've lost contact with the 'watcher'"
"Shields are failing"
""Sir?"
"Well, I suggest we depart, don't you think?"
"Engines at full speed… Spinning…"
"…I can't spin the spaceship, sir, we're stuck!"
"Sir, the shields are simply spreading, I don't understand…"
"Sir, estimating five minutes before gravity or shields failure or anything else kills us."
There was a silence.
They always knew this could happen, but nothing could prepare them for the true moment of knowing they are going to die.
"It's simply going to swallow us, the turbulence. Or we'll get crushed under the contradicting gravity at any moment now." Dana said, her panic level getting higher with every word she said.
Graham stared at his computer screen, at the three dimensional picture of the spaceship and the surrounding shield that was strangely spreading trough the electric webs, and he had the strangest idea.
"We're going to die anyway, right?"
"Quit right, yes." Aaron replied. "Then why won't we try something?"
"You have an idea?" Dana asked
"I think. Let's shut down the engine, and let gravity pull the spaceship were it wants, maybe it'll be out of the turbulence."
"We can't do that, the spaceship will just start spinning out of control, the gravity shields can't stabilize the ship on their own!!" Dana protested
"But what good the engine does now? It simply gets us stuck in place!"
"The gravity will-" "not be a problem once we're in the turbulence control. It can be deadly but we can also fly at gravity not so bad that we can live trough it-"
"Am I the only one who sees the most major problem in this plan?" Jeffery asked.
Everyone just looked at him. "Well, black holes pull things in, not out you idiots!"
"He has a point" the captain said. "But it's our only choice. Dana, engines off."
"Got it."
And the ship went swirling along with the rocks and dust in a quickly descending spiral, and within moments crashed the green heart of the black hole.
