How the a single individual can affect how we live and see life. Love, loss and pain.
Before you
there was only twilight
Many shades of gray
I thought I knew light and dark
Day and night
ignorance
I didn’t know the difference
I thought I knew what life was

Then you came
blinded me with what life really is
With the light you brought into my existence
You were the sun

Now you have gone
You have taken the light away
there is nothing.
no light, no day, no sun
no shades of gray
no twilight
only darkness
eternal night
A black void where there exists nothing
and nothing can exist
Devoid of light and warmth

Now I know
true light and dark
the difference between the day and night
what it means to live
and also to be without life.
Now I know
Now I ache for
the many shades of gray
The bland twilight where no sun can shine
where no darkness can rule

I ache for the ignorance of the twilight
For I know all the light is gone
I know that the light was you
