About a little girl and her new found guardian angel
Touched By An Angel

The sun and the moon dance playfully
Taking turns at controlling the sky

Down below, a city bustles
And a young girl begins to cry

The world moves on, ignoring, uncaring
They've their own lives to live, no need for sharing

In a corner, hidden under a bed
She stays all alone, hands propping her head

The sun turns away and a bright world falls
Now taken over by the moon and the stars

The girl sits calmly, admiring the night
Here she feels safe, way away from the light

An open window, a nice cool breeze
Till the young girl spots something out in the trees

It's shaped like a human, yet perched like a bird
She thinks it has wings, but that's just absurd

It turns its head, catching her in its gaze
She stares right back, trying not to be afraid

It leaps off the branch, headed straight for her home
She falls to the floor, letting out a frightened moan

The next morning she wakes thinking it all a dream
But the silver feather beside her was exactly as it seemed

The day wore on and by the time night fell
It felt like she was going through her very own hell

She ran to her room, tears stinging her eyes
Sank her face in her pillow to muffle out her cries

It was then she noticed the one in the room
Glowing white in the dark, skin pale as the moon

His angelic voice spoke, "Do not cry, little one, things will soon be alright."
And true to his word, held her there for the rest of the night
