A letter to me, from Self.
Dear me,

Well, here it is, 2010. A lot of things have changed over the past year. You changed jobs, moved for the second time in two years, bought a house, and became a father. All in all, I'd say 2009 was a pretty good year. However, a lot of things need to change this year. For one thing, you need to work on cooling that temper. It has begun to spiral way out of control over the last little bit.You have a child now, which means it is imperative that you act as you would have him act. Because the simple fact is, this little fellow is watching your every move. He is learning by your example. So you must think about him. Which brings me to my next grievance. You need to learn to watch your tongue. Once again, that little nipper is learning from you, and will be talking soon. So he'll be repeating everything you say when he does.

Also, you have got to get organized. To put it bluntly, you're an utter mess. Think about it, you have to hunt down paperwork constantly. How much easier would life be if you knew exactly where every single article you needed was located? You need a system. Some way of filing and keeping record of everything that you must retain.

A major task to be completed this year, is to get out of debt. For the love of God, get as far out of debt as possible with the tax credit you receiving this year. When you do, take a nice sharp pair of scissors, and cut up every single credit card you own. Because we all know that you can't handle any more plastic.

Last, but certainly not least. You have got to start romancing your wife more this year. You're pretty much a lousy husband. Honestly, when was the last time you did something like, send her flowers just because. Or even left her a note or letter just to say I love you? Little things are what matter the most. They arent as trivial as you may presume. If you don't get your act together when it comes to this matter, I give your marriage two years at most before it falls apart. Don't let that happen.

Well, thats really all I have for now. But I'm sure that there will be plenty more built up before June. So keep your eyes peeled for another letter full of discontent sometime in the near future. Wishing you well in 2010.

Sincerely,

Self.

P.S.
