Learning to let go
Things have really changed and were both to blame,
We can never again be the same.
Said you would be there until the end,
Now your not even a friend.
I liked you better in the past,
I hope the new you doesn’t last.
It’s like the last year together was a waste,
Like all of a sudden our friendship was misplaced.
At first my heart was incredibly broken,
But now your name is barely even spoken.
I wish the past could be set to flame,
Unfortunately the memories will always remain.
I always said you would have a special place in my heart,
Now you have a shoebox that’s falling apart.
Never thought it would come to an end,
All I know is I’ll never regret once being your friend.
