Life And Its Lessons.
I’m having some kind of breakdown,
On my face is only a frown.
I feel so lost and I need to be found,
I just want to begin again and turn my life around.
Forget the past and all its pain,
See what lessons there are to gain.
Get rid of those that cause endless tragedy and heartbreak,
I’ve had as much betrayal and lies as I can take.
Memories will always lurk in the shadows of the dark,
Waiting to spring at the moment when they would leave the worst mark.
Guilt clinging to you like an unwanted mask over a past mistake,
The shame bound to you for what seems like a lifetimes intake.
I just want to disappear and avoid the constant unfair judgment,
The kind that comes from those that do not forgive the act no matter how recent.
People need to accept that its possible for somebody to change,
Embrace that problems sometimes lead to a meaningful exchange.
I personally have done a terrible deed that did not affect just my life alone,
It hurt those near and dear to me in more ways than I could have known.
I regret it more than anything else in this everlasting mayhem,
If I could take one thing back that would be it and I’d do it for them.
