Written as a freewrite and thus much abbrieviated. I'll clarify it more as time goes on.
Alyss – Plump, cheerful and positively gorgeous. Tumbling golden waves and creamy bronze skin with vividly vibrant golden-brown eyes. Sometimes seems shallow, but only because of her inclination towards light humor and idle conversation rather than revealing her true depth. Extremely fashion-conscious, of a medium height and curvy everywhere with an open face. Hair is always pulled back out of her face in an earnest manner. Maternal spirit, yet slightly selfish especially about smaller matters. Vain and unashamed of her curves. Flaunts her hourglass shape in every outfit, but not grossly revealing. Always laughing with a tinkling giggle that is overly feminine, and somehow not entirely unpleasant to the ear. Quick thinker in most circumstances, but not under pressure. Easily becomes nervous around strangers despite her self-confidence and will fade back into the shadows. Laughs hysterically when frightened. Energetic, but not physically fit for the most part. Sleeps soundly and often, excellent critic of food. Not a glutton, however; doesn’t eat as much as her weight suggests. Shy interior, brazenly confident exterior... leading to development of a close circle of friends only. Easily feels betrayed, but forgives readily if it is possible.  Talks dramatically and happily, often failing to read the cues of her audience but captivating despite her oblivious nature. Always has a small purse that seems as full as Mary Poppin’s bag, and always prepared. Skilled with makeup, enjoys doing hair and facials for others as often as possible with flattering results. Paints her nails intricately, but oddly not a skilled artist with a pen. Reads frequently, mostly immediately before bed. Hopeless romantic who always seeks the perfect guy, around whom she is initially happy but insanely giggly; later becomes awkward as her fear of rejection grows. Longs to visit France someday, but lacks sufficient funds though willing to work and struggle hard to achieve her goal.

Please leave thoughtful comments on how I can best improve this character! Changes in her personality will be reflected in my stories as well, so comments here may affect more than one Portfolio item. Thanks for reading!
