A memoir and a hopeful new beginning
To the woman bound in black
Beauty had a name
And facing toward me
closed circuit television
With the eyes of the world
pulling, pulling
Upon her
help her, help her
Cast wretched stone stares
pulling, pulling
Upon her
glory unto the creator
The unholy want.
more than green and gold

The silhouette strong and
ivory twists and pirouettes swirl
Regal
queen
Pitted against demonic dark
pulling, pulling
Behind.
Senegal in the tree
On a chaise lounge of dark velvet
Bare shouldered
Brushes at the olive satin
rapt
It sculpted the black
nothing in the world matters
That closed her
help her, help her
As the curtain behind
pulling, pulling
Doomed her.
