worries about tomorrows and yesterdays gone by, and then there was today

One more day of wondering
One more day of fear
One more day of worrying
If our soldiers are still there
Another night of restless sleep
A father, a son, or a wife in a dream
One more day of wondering if our soldiers are still there

One more day of questions
Will they be answered soon?
Will our words reach congress?
Or will our words be doomed?
Will the people wait to see?
To hear of more blood shed?
One more day of wondering
If our soldiers are alive or dead

What about the children?
Their fears seen in their eyes
Are they to disappear?
When more bombs go off at night?
One more day of wondering
One more day of endless fear
One more day of worrying
If our soldiers are still there

When will the wars be over?
All wars throughout the land
When will there be peace
All soldiers standing hand in hand

Keep the freedoms running strong
All throughout the lands
Pray for peace, sing freedoms song
Bring families together at last
Stop the fighting, stop the hate
Stop the killing of mankind
And bring our soldiers home at last
No more days of wondering why...
