Dealing with pain and sorrow from someone passing away

You sang the song of a blue jay on an early mornings dawn
You loved me like a true friend and asked the things I had done
You were a caring person bringing color to my life
You showered your love so deeply and wiped tears from my troubled eyes

Your smile was the sunshine that greeted my new days
You were never short of hugs or gentle words of praise
Your love was like a seedling, never wilting or afraid
Your tender words of kindness were like a flower garden in rain

You were my shining butterfli, like a colorful flower bed
You always lent a helping hand to me ever since we met
You never left me feeling lost to go the road alone
You always threw the life line in when i began to groan

Now my little butterfli floats on a different wind
Upward and onward to heavens door your end
You will always be remembered for the caring things you did
Now your job here has ended and your new journey begins

I know you're watching over me to see what I will do
So if I have a question, I know you'll see me through
There will be stormy seas ahead, I know you will be there
To help me through the hard times with your tenderness and care

Your journey through heavens gates must be a pretty sight
Now you are the shining star that guides me through the night
So when it is my turn to go, keep an eye out for me please
Hold onto that chair beside you
Save me a Seat

This is in memory of my dear friend,
Ginger H.
