The World is Hollow

I have been alive forever
And my eyes have seen many things.
I have seen the creation of the Universe
And watched the silent death of the stars.
I have seen the joy of love
And felt the pain of being alone.
I have seen the miracle of new life,
And the sorrow of life cut short.
I have seen the hope of peace,
And the folly of war.
I have seen many things,
And I ask my creator Why?
I realize I will never know,
For the world is hollow
And I have touched the sky.
