An April Afternoon

We met on a beautiful, April afternoon.
When I saw him, I knew love would come soon.
Happiness came into my life that afternoon.
The love I heard around me was like a happy tune.

On that afternoon, love poured from the sky.
I was so happy; all I could do was cry.
I became a woman that wonderful day.
My heart brims over; this is all I can say.


Note: I wrote this about the day I met my soulmate of almost 14 years. I met him on an April afternoon.
