Rated: E · Poetry · Emotional · #1662158
The clarifying realization, all you really ever have, is yourself.
Outside, the rain falls
On down turned leaves.

Heavy of heart
I hear the rain.

It is my companion
Beating it's rhythmic fury.

Drawn closer
Awashed in the rain.

So full and great
The turmoil collides in waves.

Brightness overcomes me
As true clarity awakens.

Amisted glorious chaos
Order is acutely regained.

New life is born
Where the old had lain.

Replenished, regrouped, and regathered
The answer lies before me.

The shock is blinding
Realization paralyzes painfully.

The rain engulfs me
Readily, I know I am alone...
