remembering a lover.
You used to touch me, gently, sweetie, with all the tenderness in the world. my heart melted.
I crave those little moments. Lips whispering secrets into my ear while i do the dishes, running my fingers through your hair, your hand clasped in mine. I remember writing you letters to let you know that i was there, id tape them to objects i knew you would use. "Sweetheart please remember to ring ***** and i made some scones, they will still be warm and are under the teatowel. you looked so peaceful i didn’t want to wake you. love you xxx." Those simple little things gave my life so much meaning. How will i find such happiness again, find someone who likes my quirky ways. The silly things i did made you smile, laugh and love me. You would give a look like i cant believe you still surprise me, i fear i will never see it from anyone again. I felt that your knowing eyes could see through to my heart and under there watchful gaze it blossomed. at times that was all i wanted in my life. Your eyes on me.
I can never share my now secret memory's with you, i wish i had. To make you smile one last time.
