Changing into a werewolf, loaded with imagery
[Introduction]
Such an unknown thing is this world. A vicious swirl of confusion and a mind filled with lies, only to discover that there is no truth. Amongst the madness, a captive beast sits inside, waiting for nature to unlock this cage of flesh surrounding him. It's fury is untamable and its power is unstoppable. Inside it waits so patiently. So...starved of freedom. Swirling fear is brewed into its actions, and carnage is its true meal.
As a searing pain rips through his body, a scrawny teenager, no older than 16, runs down the sidewalk into the pitch black woods on the outskirts of town that whistle with the midnight air. His breathing is heavy, and his speed is swift with the agony only subsiding as his adrenaline pulses through his veins. The tears that fall from his blood red eyes, created from the piercing pain in his heart, his legs, everywhere, run down his cheeks that begin to burn from his muscle strain.
A powerful force drops him to his knees in the middle of his sprint. A gash in his leg is opened from the bark of a fallen tree, and he releases a shrill cry from his combined ailments. As he sits on the ground with searing heat overtaking his body, he begins to calm himself. "Don't panic, don't panic, don't panic," he repeats to himself with his arms wrapped across his chest. His senses become more keen, breaking a limiting fog that surrounded him his entire life. The trees rustle from the brisk wind sweeping through the woods, creating a symphony of nature with the nearby creek.
Suddenly, the sky splits open with the white lunar shadow falling upon the ground. The pale light sends surges through his body as it falls upon his skin. Both an amazing and painful event occurs. His muscles contort, changing abnormally as sharp, poking jolts of pain register in his mind instantly. His muscles grow to enormous proportions, and the frame of his bones begin to form into a forward position.
He can't scream, for the pain is too great. It paralyzes him. The strange body figure he's undergoing cracks and shatters his jaw. Sharp fangs grow from his teeth, ripping through the flesh of his cheek as it flexes and mutates, blood pouring from his mouth, and pupils growing until the dark abyss covers his entire eyes leaving them pitch-black. The colors around him become more vivid, more beautiful, more...deadly. He begins to smell the aroma of the woods, the smell of the cool night air that carries the scent of things not normally noticed. Fish in the river, clean air, and the strong smell of pines filter through his nose as he becomes fully aware of everything around him.
He falls forward on his knees as his fingers form claws, beautiful and white, razor sharp and 4 inches long. He watches as the moon reflects from the pale ivory color that begins to form on his skin. Green hair starts to raise from his body, small at first, but rising quickly, like a crescendo of fire that spreads across the fields. It grows, longer and longer as a deep sense of warmth now accompanies his other senses. The hair turns a dark hue, as if it were meant to blend perfectly with the night. He's completely covered, head to toe in the dark coat that sways with the abnormal wind.
He sits there, exhausted. His mind is wandering around, occupied with nothing but...instinct. His actions come slow at first, the pain still vividly alive in his mind, but now his senses have returned to him. He focuses his eyes, an insane feeling shooting through his mind from every part of his body. He stands on his hind legs, looking down and seeing that his strange figure has ripped off his clothes. His shoes layed on the ground, the seams torn open from pressure, along with his pants and shirt.
He looks up at the sky, a deep feeling of perfection and power make him fully aware of what he is. He runs around a little bit, the wind aerodynamically flowing around his body as the force throws back his fur. He jumps over the creek, amazed by his abilities and agility as he climbs up a tall tree in an instant. He looks to the moon, the clouds now parted to a perfectly black sky, no stars, just the moon, full and bright in all its glory.
He places his feet firmly on the tree, countering the balance by holding on to the trunk with his hand as he stares up at the sky. The bright moon reflects off his eyes and he throws his head back. A blood chilling howl erupts from his vocal chords. The shrill sound spreads through the trees, carrying through to all the world as a testament of the wolf's existence.
