A prospective buyer buys a land for a spaceport. What adventures lie in that?
Casey looked over the land in the dome. He was thinking of purchasing the land to build a hotel. Alot of people came out of the spaceport wide eyed. Where were all these people to stay?

"This is prime real estate. I have several other people interested in thisland." said the Realtor.

"What is this land zoned for?"

"commercial." said the Martian Realtor.

"Hmm.." said Casey.

"How much are they asking for it?"

Casey had his research he had found out how much the area's around the place was selling for.

"They want ten thousand for it." said the realtor.

"Hmm.." said Casey.

"Like I said I have other people interested in the land." said the Realtor.

"Let me think about it."

"Okay." said the realtor.

Casey had a package in his email. So he printed it out. So someone had sent him flowers. How nice thought Casey.

Nowadays actual physical shipping of products was passe. They sent files instead. This cut down on the need to send transport materials, since people could just get the raw materials and make the object to fit their need. People bought files like they used to buy media files.

He started his research on the lot. He found out there was a lien on the property by checking the cities records. So he decided not to bid on the property. He would find another place to build.

Of course he would run it through a holding company so that the prospective sellers didn't get wind of his plans. If they knew what he wanted to do they would surely raise the price. So it was best to wait till he had all the property he needed to start the construction.

Casey had been buying small lots in the dome through dummy corporations. Soon he would have enough to start construction. The dome was not the ruff and tumble prlace that was pictured in the movies, literature, and tv. People got along without government intervention just fine.

The bigger enemy was the dust storms. The dome had a cover for that to protect the glass, and plastic from the abrasive dust storms. But if one was caught in the open they would have to hunker down in a bit.

The weather forecasting had come along way since the twentyfirst century earth. Depending on one's location they could triangulate the weather forecast from different weather stations. The computer program would then compile it to one's present location. But one still had to keep an eye on the weather.

New colonists would come soon. Everyday more came off the ships. They were headed out to make their claim to their own piece of martian soil.

The construction of the hotel had gone smoothly. Except for a few minor accidents. But that was to be expected.

The hotel was built underground, where in case of dome leak they could stay in safety. The hotel also had tunnels running to the other domes. That way if one dome leaked it wouldn't effect the other domes.

They had planted flowers and grass on the top of the hotel. A pond had been added. Real fish from earth had been shipped as well. The laundry was handled by machinery. It was automatically sorted, washed, dryed then folded. The hotel's floors were cleaned by robots. With the surfaces in the room were self-cleaning. This allowed the housekeepers to do many more rooms then they would have otherwise.

Inaddition the hotel had a casino. Farmers after selling their crops would enjoy some entertainment. Of course, some did win to keep the appearance of things being honest.

One of his investors was coming to see him today. Casey came to meet him. He was in his best suit.

Suddenly a man in an Italian suit came up. Casey was holding a sign off for Groco. Perhaps this was him.

"Groco?" said Casey.

"Casey?" said the man.

"Hey it's sure nice to see you it's been a long flight." said Groco

Two robots were behind him. They looked like bodyguard robots. But why did he need to have two of them?

"This is Lenny and this is Benny." Groco said pointing to his two bodyguard robots.

"Okay, I will take you to your rooms." responded Casey.

Groco, Benny, and Lenny followed Casey to the transportation system. Casey took them to the hotel and gave them a tour. Then personally gave them the key to their room.

The next day Casey went to his office. However th sign with his name was taken down. In it's place was a sign with Groco's name on it.

"Your office has been moved to down the hall." said Lenny flexing his robot muscle.

Casey didn't dare argue. He walked down the hall. Then he opened the door to his office. It was a broom closet. As he was afraid he might end up in a sand pile in an undisclosed location.
