growing old together , living life to the full until death comes knocking.
We danced
a ballet
until the music stopped
and we were there
on centre stage
in the spotlight.

No music
No noise
just me holding you

You
were a bag of bones then
an old lady.
I felt the warmth
as it left your body

I held you there
on stage
until you died.
