A sliver of light
shone under the door
IN the dark of night
Petrified my core.

Shone under the door
Into my safe room
Petrified my core
Heralding my doom.

Into my safe room
Come hideous sounds
Heralding my doom
Unless I be found.

Come hideous sounds
That terrorized me
Unless I be found
I shall have to flee.

That terrorized me
In the dark of night
I shall have to flee
A sliver of light.
