I am new to writing poems. It was required for my high school english class
The burning sun commands the beach,
the rays kissing my skin.

Sticky, molding sand on my toes,
forming crust upon my outer layer.

Listen to the crashing waves
that swallows the shells.

Escaping is a mast,
into into the engolfing ocean
never to come back.
