My friend and I started writing a story over chat!
I was walking alone, in a dark forest. Horrible mistake. Ruffled noises emerged from all around, I was on my toes. Anxious of what will happen. I heard faint footsteps behind me... Following mine but, it's were louder, more like stomping. I turned back every now and then. Stopping my feet, and hearing the echo of the last footstep it makes.
"Hello?" I yelled voice shaky. For a few seconds, I listened intensively for something. Anything. When I heard no response, I continued onward through the dark forest. Sometimes I wonder why I do these things. Teachers say peer pressure; I say "I feel like it". They just never understand. After a minute or so, my feet began to ache, and they were soaked. Why did I choose to go out when it was so cold?! Ugh! This rainy season completely ruined my shoes. Great... I stopped again, listening for those footsteps. None. Not a trace. I was frightened... My eyes averted the path as I sprinted out of this eerie place. I couldn't get far before I was tackled to the ground. I looked shocked and afraid. Who was this man? He was handsome, his looks drawn me in. His dark aurora seeming to attract me. I put my hand to his face, subconsciously. He grabbed my wrist with a fierce growl. His eyes, glowed a summer red. I felt my body freeze. My eyes widened as I see his pure ivory fangs in the night. He stared at me with those intense eyes; his teeth glimmered in the light. After a few sudden moments, my fear drifted away from my body. He released me, and stood a few feet away. His laughter was so, amazing. It was like heroine to me. I joined him in his guffaw, and together we returned hugs. He looked at me with worried eyes. "Why are you here?" he reached into his pocket to grab a cigarette. I winked at him, and said "I should be asking you the same thing!" he let out another small laugh, and pointed to himself. "Ugh, hello? Is anybody in that thick head of yours?! You know both of us love this dark and dreary. Hence the raven...” I answered him "Nevermore”
I giggled and grabbed his hand. "Hikari!!" I was afraid of him deep inside, this fear held hold of my locked heart. I covered it up, and locked those feelings and thoughts. Even though he is no longer human, I love him... This feeling surges throughout my body, overwhelming me. It's as though I am flying on air, laughing freely and whole heartedly. This is my favorite feeling He laughed back and picked me up in his arms. "Well, let's go. You know their waiting for us." I stared at him blankly. "Waiting for what?" he just looked at me with confused eyes. "Our wedding of course!" That is when I woke up. My cat pawed at my cheek and meowed softly. I scooped him up and held him to my chest and my lungs rattled while he purred. That moment in my dream happened 5 years ago. That wedding never happened. The love of my life didn't even make it through the night.
I cried silent tears. Charlie-my cat- meowed and licked my nose. "Oh... Ha-ha!" I laughed. My name is Mai, I am 16 years old and I live alone. My parents died in a fire about 6 years ago. A year after the fire he found me. Hikari. He was three years older than me and I always saw him around my mother and father. But, he went missing 2 years before the fire. Also, Hikari was my fiancée to be. When I was old enough. Anyway, 5 years ago He took him but in the middle of spring 1871, something happened. But, I can't remember, I just have weird dreams... That's what everything seems like, a dream.
Sometimes I wish that I would never dream. At least then, I would know what is real and what isn't. Charlie hissed, and I realized that I had been squeezing him. I let him go. "I'm sorry Charlie..." he meowed back at me kindly and ran off to eat. I wondered if I had fed him that previous day. Yesterday I had one of my spirals of depression. That's one reason I live alone; nobody can stand my constant reputation as a "downer". I looked outside. It was raining, AGAIN. It always rains here. Damn England and its rain!
