Written during one of my lazy days by my favourite lake
Tousle me softly, crisp air which strokes my chin.
Sweep away my resolution.
Send it along with each strand of flowing hair.
Then chill me! Chill me down to the very bone
so that I may never feel again.

Freeze my insides.
Slow my struggling heart.
Prick my soul with gleaming shards of the coldest ice.

Make me numb.

For the point of breathing is forever lost.
Its swelling beat, its determination, its purpose
faded.
All gone away with the only ghost
who cast a glimpse of sweet…
sweet everything.

Oh dawn beckoned breeze, to you I beg!

Make me numb!
