Poetry about addiction
Another day, Another dawn
been up all night long.
No reasons, no excuses for nights slipping by
quickly, quietly creeping throughout
feelings of doubt arise.
The internal battle begins body starts aching,
shaking, trembling throughout as the mind shouts, "YOUR OUT! What now?"
Freak out, shout, screw the frustrations out.
A cigarette will do for only a few
allowing the mind time to unwind.
While the devil the devil teases, temps,
makes you feel, see, realize Welcome to Hell,
For this is your life and you are my wife,
I'll be with you through and through.
Family and friends all turn away
soon enough there be no road back.
Just you and me on the road you'll see
Nothing can stop us now.
Addicted for sure, Is there a cure? Of course,
Hiding inside ones mind.
Found it, attempted to fix it, failing for sure this time.
Soul starts dying, causing a quake to start breaking the heart pumping inside.
All that can be done wont carry you through
leaving nothing left to do.
Who had a clue the devil was white
disguised as the ice dropped in your drink
to help push all worries aside, and if left alone
no one would see the the devils inside of thee.
