There's a void in me that leads me to avoid.
In the fields of dark brilliance where
my heart strings all play;
in the deep, cold mines of my care,
life lay in silence all day.

Whether lost in mustering thought,
deep and divine or not,
a mighty good distance it brought
in which the silence is forgot.

Oh so serene and mesmerized am I,
in some paradise, akin,
with no sound nor sight of eye;
I cannot see how to win.

A forlorn expanse was created
and in this I took solace,
not wanting those the dim awaited
at the end of the aimless.

Here but everything is repulsed
and naught is inclined,
and so slowly I’m avulsed,
never quite aligned.

In this quiet distance I stay away,
not wanting a fight,
keeping my heart strings at bay,
till the time is right.

And for now here I reside,
in this awe-inspiring void,
with no one to confide,
semi-destroyed.
