Christina, a high school student, learns that everything is not as it seems in her life.
The time was slowly ticking by, in very slow motion. The timeclock had five seconds left, and the ball was coming my way. We were up by three, and this was the match point. My heart was pounding, and I could feel my pulse in my ears.
The volleyball dipped down, and the cries of my teammates were muffled as I put every ounce of concentration into my bump.
The ball made impact and ricocheted off of my arms. It sailed over the net, and the buzzer sounded.
The other team's setter went for it, but missed by less than an inch. Had she made the set and then had her teammate make a succesful spike, we would have went into overtime.
The line judge called it in, and we were declared official champions of the Sunnyview High vs Mandrake High match. Yet another win for us, the Mandrake Musketeers.

I AM NOWHERE CLOSE TO DONE, SO CHILL OUT :)
