This is more of a story than a poem
Your withering touch has captivated me
I'm trying to escape
Running, running, I cannot move
Your withering touch has a hold on me
Crying, crying, i cannot see
Your withering touch won't let go of me
I need something
Someone, somewhere
To save me
How can I escape?
My mind is saying run, run, scream, do something!
But no words come out
What's happening?
Your withering touch, it needs me
I try to scream
Nothing
The grip tightens and I grimace in pain
The truth is overwhelming
The fact that I'm alone...
Imagining all of this, everything
I close my eyes so tightly
So tightly that they bleed
I sew them to my cheeks, for I do not want to see
Black, darkness, despair
The things you bring to me
Love, trust, compassion
Things I wish you'd feel for me
My mind is screaming
Save me!
Let me go!
I open my mouth but it's still just silence
I bite my lip so tightly
I rip my bounded eyes
I whisper your name
I can hear my voice...
I tel you things you couldn't imagine
how you're putrid, horrid, and damned
I grin and look at you
And I whisper "let me go" one more time
The darkness begins to fade away
I'm free at last
I'm walking away leaving you in confusion
I'm running away from you
Away from the past
Away from my mind
Away from the thoughts
My tragic thoughts
Away from you...
I'm running at last
Away from everything
