Brenton's Jewels

With a hand you wiped away
the tears I wore like jewellery

You described it all to me
in terms I understood

To be a tear is to see new ways
and find new sounds unopened

I traced out all our past forgiven
it swayed me back to you

I put myself aside
'til the time tied us two.
