As usual, I tend to write from experience
To you, I am faithful, truthful and real
To me, you are heartless, What is the deal?

I don't understand why you want to hurt me so.
If you want me to leave, please, tell me to go.

Don't raise my hopes or play with my heart
Because to be honest, I'd rather be apart.

I am not so desperate to play this game.
You're just like the rest. Exactly the same.

I look into your eyes for some sort of...spark.
But all I see, is what I see in the dark.

Nothing. Nothing at all. Not a single thing.
I don't know what I am doing. Why am I trying?

I want you to love me, as I do you.
But not like this. Not after all I have been through.

So please, let me go. Don't play with my heart.
Because like I said, I'd rather be apart.
