I had a nightmare...
Mary Anne

"Girl Found Slain and Raped"
is what the town paper reports.
His hands touching your thigh as
he rubs his leg up and down
against yours. You didn't scream,
how could you? May Anne, did he
hold you by the neck? Mary Anne,
did he rip off your shirt? Tears
falling down your black and blue
face. Forcing your face to touch
his dry, chapped, bleeding lips. "I
know you want this." he said
as he threw you against the car.
Did it hurt Mary Anne? I
bet it hurt. I can feel it,
warm, smooth blood gliding down
the back of your neck. Did he
smash your head against the
ground like he did mine? "Take
some aspirins." he said "The
pain will go away soon." he said.

But it never goes away, does
it Mary Anne? I want to be
like you, Mary Anne. In your
lovely white gown, lying on
the softest of clouds. Does
it feel good Mary Anne? Can I be
like you? Feeling no more pain,
forever.
