Part of my poetry collection from 2009.
2009

I lived threw it all,

But occasionally I did fall.

My friends where always there,

They never just stopped and stared.

I relearned what love is,

And rediscovered a perfect bliss.

I feel for a guy with a sweet kiss,

And him I will miss.

Him I’m  done with now,

But when thinking about what we had I still say wow.

I let the guy I love back in my life,

I didn’t guard my heart with a knife.

I have become his world,

And he makes me feel like I’m the only girl.

I lost my best friend,

And my heart, he is engraved in.

I know I will see him again one day,

And my life won’t always be coated with gray.

My family had its fights,

And we all stayed up to many long nights.

Gladly we are all still together,

But not quite the best as ever.

As the year winds to an end,

I say good-bye to a few more good friends.

I look forward to the new year,

And I will say this last thing my dear,

I will make it worth wild.

Darkest Hour

I walk home alone in the pouring rain,

Even though you said I was your everything.

You promised me heaven but put me through hell,

Yet I’m the only one there is to blame.

Now I walk alone,

Hanging my head with shame.

I opened my heart,

And you tore it apart.

I don’t understand why I loved you from the start.

You turned into someone you said you would never be,

And the evidence is all over me.

Memory of You

Another winter day fades to gray,

And still the memory of you won’t go away.

I won’t return your calls,

My phone still lies next to the wall.

Your emails won’t be read,

I prefer to imagine your dead.

A Look to the Past

Two years ago today,

You laid your hands one me in such a harsh way.

You let your anger get the best of you,

And cut me down a size or two.

For eight long months I gave you everything,

And you took away the best in me.

You showed me how to hate,

And how to push everyone away.

Now after I have come so far,

You’re trying to walk back through my door.

But this time I beat you to it,

I locked you out.

So saying you’ve changed won’t mean a thing,

I still see the real you,

And it will always shine threw.

As Summer Fades to Fall

As summer fades to fall,

We’re still stuck behind this wall.

I’m so sick of hearing what they have to say,

Why do they care anyway?

You and I are a timeless story,

But they would rather destroy thy.

Your pale blue eyes fill with fear,

After you see a once hidden tear.

As fall fades to winter,

Your boy sings doubts like a low pitch tenor.

You sit in bed,

Hanging your once held high head.

And I’m on my knees begging you please!

Why can’t you see,

All that we can be?

As winter turns to spring,

I take your necklace and give it a fling.

I wait day and night,

And you still haven’t come in my sight.

I can’t take this much longer,

My will is growing stronger.

I’m not going to let them push me about,

I don’t care if you have doubts.

As spring turns to summer,

And summer fades to fall,

You sit in the other side of the once strong wall.

Roller Coaster Ride

Up and down,

Side to side.

Things with us are a roller coaster ride.

I care for you more than I should.

Forget you?

I wish I could!

Your sent makes high,

And wit out your touch it seems like I’ll die.

You can make my blood run cold,

And this battle has grown old.

I can’t control what I do,

All of it is controlled by you.

I Need You

The sweet taste of your lips,

The soft touch of your finger tips.

The way you hold me tight,

The way we can talk all night.

I need you more than you know,

It’s you that I just won’t let go.

You make me laugh,

You make me cry,

And sometimes your love makes me want to die.

It’s your gentle voice I have missed,

And the way we kissed.

The love we used to know,

Pourer than the whitest snow.

I need you more than you know,

It’s you that I just won’t let go.

You make me laugh,

You make me cry,

And sometimes your love makes me want to die.

Wanna Fly

Sun is going down on a gloomy day.

My heart is braking cause I know I can’t stay.

Time are getting tough,

And I’m sick of my life being so rough.

I know I gotta keep my head high,

But all I can think about is how much I wanna fly.

Fly far away from this town,

Find somewhere new to settle down.

It’s the Way

It’s the way my heart starts beating fast,

It’s the way I want this feeling to last.

It’s the way we kiss,

It’s the way you’re the only one I miss.

It’s the way you drive me wild,

It’s the way that you make me feel like a child.

It’s the way you look at me,

It’s the way you’re the only one I see.

It’s the way you cut me deep,

It’s the way I lose so much sleep.

Autumn Breeze

The crisp autumn breeze,

Can’t meet my needs.

My dreams have been crushed once more,

Since you walked back through my door.

I’ve taken you back in,

Once again.

I’ve come to regret,

The night we first meet.

I don’t want you to turn back into my everything,

But I can’t help answering every time that phone rings.

Sick of You

I’m so sick of you ignoring me,

What happened to the guy you used to be?

The one I actually like,

The one I could talk to all night.

I’m so sick of you pushing me away,

Why do you leave my feelings astray,

You and I, we aren’t the same,

But in my life you easily came.

I’m so sick of being your second choice,

Why do I feel like I don’t have a voice?

I wonder if you would really choose her over me,

I guess there are some things you will never see.

Over You

I have finally moved on,

My once precious memories of you gone.

And my eyes can see its true,

You’ve moved on too.

Maybe we will become friends with time,

But for that I wouldn’t bet more than a dime.

You made me happy for a little while,

But for the last few weeks

I’ve found it hard to smile.

I look to my future,

And away from my past,

But it still saddens me,

That we could make something between us last.

You no longer have to act like you care,

So don’t you dare.

You don’t have to talk to me at school,

I’m one person you can’t fool.

Goodbye. . . . .
