On being thankful for failure.
No Regrets

As I thought of being thankful,

This thought began to press me,

I pushed it away but it came again,

Not true, I said but it came again,

No regrets.

No regrets, looking back at life,

No regrets for failure.

If you knew, you would say,

You've sung the wrong song,

Been off tune and bad.

I've found in life it's not the good,

But failures that teach me best.

The lessons of life I need to learn,

For that I have no regrets.

I'm thankful for my failures,

They've taught me what I'm not,

They've taught me I'm a sinner,

In need of a cross.

Ah sweet success is what we want,

But it's the lesson of failure ,

That teach us best about ourselves.

Thank God for a Savior.

So as I stand musing ,

About the days that are past,

I repeat (although it's not right)

I have no regrets.
