A poem written some time ago about the feelings of two lovers in the afternoon sun
taste the salt of the summer heat
trace the contour of your neck
with gentle kisses
caressing your gentle curves
through the thin fabric of your blue sundress
while the scent of your perfume so intoxicating
mixes with the sweet smell of summer wildflowers
grass pine depth
fingers run through yellow hair
tangled and tousled whipped
sweetness of lips lingering smouldering
basking in golden glow of a tangled caress
we meet part and meet again
smell taste feel we move together joining
toes and souls touching electrified transported

we arrive
warmth thrumming warmth bliss kiss miss bliss bliss bliss
cloud 9 feet not touching ground
we soar with wings on wings of angels
touch the face of God kiss the sun
effervescent sun

exhausted parting we lie back spent so
alive so present in the moment
senses perked smells alert sight vivid mouth
waters
condensation angels of sweat on sheets
torpid pulpy lips
humming hammering hearts
rising falling breaths
gentle sweet caress lips and fingers
toes and knees
closer than touch close where souls
meet and join and lock in forever embrace
closer than lovers who come and go close
close close close
close
together
we lie
you and i
together at last
