A poem about my feelings toward the things people say.
I am insane
Because I see things differently
I am “special”
Because I act a little strange

It’s okay to walk barefoot
It’s okay to be honest
It’s alright to dress comfortably
It’s alright to make mistakes

I am insane
Because I act the way I want
I am “special”
Because I don’t care what others think

Phrases like “be yourself”
Actually mean something to me
Phrases like “you’re weird”
Are considered a compliment

I am insane
Because I have self-confidence
I am “special”
Because I am who I am
