A dark place that fills the soul and just cant run from
I look in the mirror
But i see no reflection.
I can't even tell who I am or what I am.
I don't know what I want
Or sometimes what I feel.
Right now I feel a flood of emotions.
My soul is a river
Steady in it's flow of tears.
I am like an open wound full of filth.
Darkness Surrounds every side of me.
The howling laughter of demons
Cut into me like a sword.
My hands are at my chest
Catching the heavy drops of blood
From the knife that's in my heart.
My knees are weak and I'm feeling faint
from words tossed around like some kind of game.
My mouth opens but no sound is formed.
I am not heard above the roaring spiteful crowd.
I try to move back but I am stuck;
Tugging and pulling does me no good.
My feet are like bricks;
No matter how hard I try
I still struggle to survive.
I look in the mirror one last time.
I see a reflection not my own.
I am what everyone else wants.
through the pain, through the tears, through the hurt and suffering
I am still nothing.
Unworthy of love.
Unworthy of your touch.
I am contagious; do not look at me.
I will only make you turn away.
Keep your hands free of my filth.
Look in the mirror and be sure you see a reflection.
Your reflection.....not mine.
