Lesson#2-Writing Assignment

As Samantha and Morganna sat and sipped tea in the back of the diner, (2) Octavia Godmother marched in with a paper in her hand.

"Hi,(?)what's going on?" Samantha raised her eyebrows.

"It's obvious something is bothering you. I bet my grandaughter(4b)Ludia(4b) has really done it this time." Morganna placed the tea cup down.

"I found this letter (4c) that Ludia wrote in detention. I didn't know seven year old children were exposed to this." Octavia handed the letter to Morganna.

Morganna read the letter out loud.

Dear Jackie, Kathy, and Maddie,(?)

I'm suck here in detention(1) yet again (1) because I spit fire on the back of Susie St. Ives' dress (1) and burned it to a crisp. Dang,(8) it was ugly! Still,(7) I was doing her a favor. Maybe her dad will buy her a dress that's in style. It's not like he doesn't have the money.

Jackie,(?) why was your mama at my house all night long? She was with my mommy in the guest bedroom making all kinds of noises. Maybe it was for some kind of spell. I've never heard one with ooo,(5) ah,(5), and oh,(8) yes over and over again though. Those noises sound like stuff that comes from my parent's bedroom when Daddy's at home.

Speaking of weird stuff,(6a) the adults have been having these weekly meetings. I do know this(1) because I snuck out of the house(1)while they were having their last one. I guess no one saw me(6b) wandering around the town hall. I did hear something interesting,(?) y'all. There's going to be a war. My mommy wants to take over the Faerie Realm,(?) her homeland.

I also heard that my brother,(4a) Lucifer Jr.,(4a) will come back from the fiery world to help out in the war. Mommy will be so happy to see him(1) because she only gets to see him on Halloween.

I forgot to tell y'all about the other reason why I'm here. I punched that ugly(3b) weirdo Bobby Everhart in the mouth. Maddie,(?) he had the nerve to say that my Daddy got your nanny(4b)Marta(4b)knocked up. Everyone knows it was our dirty,(3a) nasty Principal Everhart that did it because he wants another "sister wife".

I know stuff. Deacon will be my town in the future. I'm may only be seven,(1) but I'm not stupid!

If Miss Octavia catches you with this letter,(2) I want you to stuff it in your mouth and shallow it.

Octavia pointed to the crinkled up paper and bite marks. "Jackie Grayson attempted to eat this letter like Ludia instructed her to if caught."

Samantha gasped and leaned back in the chair. "We're in big trouble if Lucifer Jr. comes back and fights in the war. He's invincible. He was born without any of the weaknesses of a demon(1) or a faerie."
