Zophiel has a flashback of a gruesome night, when Xaphan became a former angel.
Chapter 1

Zophiel opened his eyes, allowing them to swallow every last bit of light. Once he realized what had happened the night before, he touched his forehead.

"Ow!" he yelped. Zophiel couldn't help realize that he was back in the infirmary, a place he recognized so well. The only thing that brightened the room up was the window, which was its intention. The bed Zophiel lay in is the only other piece of furniture in the room besides a stool next to his bed. Zophiel tried to recover from last night's meeting with the traitor, Xaphan. He is a former angel and now after Zophiel for triggering something beyond belief. Zophiel smiled to himself for HE was something beyond belief.

"I'm glad to see that you're awake. As usual, you're placed in my care when I could be out doing something constructive," a beautiful nurse with wings hovered in. Clipboard was already in hand, since she has done this many times before.

Zophiel smiled warmly. "Quit," was all he could say. The woman smiled, her wings retracted, "You know i couldn't do that! What would He think of me? Besides, I like working here."

Zophiel looked out the window and saw hills of green, some steeper than others, patches of land were filled by roman-like buildings. Kids walked down the hills, not old enough to fly yet. Zophiel lifted up his hand and a pain shot through his entire body forcing him to cringe. He looked at his hand, seeing a scar beginning between his fore and middle finger down to the palm of his hand, remembering why it was there.

Zophiel crept through the darkness behind tree and over the hills until was face to face with a cottage. In the window that was lit he could see a woman and her child walk past. He ran up to the window without being seen and listened.

"Xaphan, im putting him to bed," the woman put the child into a bed and turned off the light. Then the couple left the room. This was Zophiel's cue to get in and out. He never meant for it to get bloody..
