Falling in love. Souls mending into one.
To me, the world seems silent. All noise is replaced by the loud, thunderous beats of my own heart. Each thump echoes inside my head, growing increasingly louder each passing second. My head is in the clouds, looking down. There, him and I lay. Spread across a couch, his arm rests over my shoulder. Our fingers intertwine, as we take mark of the action on the screen. Not a word is said. Not a word needs to be said.

Although I seem to be focused on the screen, I'm not. I gaze at our fingers, for they seem so perfectly mended together. I listen to his breath, slowly in and out, it flows, as a beautiful rhythmic sequence.

From the clouds, I see him look over at me, seeming as if he is breathing me in. He too, was distracted.

The sound of my heart continues to gain speed, and becomes more powerful.

As it reaches it's highest peak, I begin to hear a second heart beat among mine. Starts as a faint thump. But slowly, grows to become louder, and more intense. And then, at the most unexpected moment, they become in synch.

Two heart beats turn to one.

Two rhythmic thumps become identical.

Two people fall in love.
