Life in general
Just a little bored writing here...but then again, what other time is there to write...

The one thing that I wish all young, old and every person in between could know about the TRUE secret of any long-term relationship, be it with a boyfriend, girlfriend, mother, father, son, daughter, or good friend....

Allowing them to be who they are, appreciating the differences between us and various perspectives we all have of the world we live in. Everyones perspective is different because our experiences are all uniquely our own.

I truly believe that if we do not learn to appreciate ourselves and ALL the people around us, if we do not teach this to our children, then the world becomes a very dark and dreary place to live in. Sad really. It is sad that we have the capability for love and forgiveness and yet there are still people teaching hatred. I believe that we are all in this together, no matter what our skin tone is. I believe in the human race, or what is left of it. I have seen suffering and discrimination from all sides and I do not like it, it saddens my heart and brings a tear to my eye. But yet, that is human nature. The strangely diverse yet magical nature within all of us. We all have the ability, yet it is repressed in some. There are very few people that I can say that I have met and do not like, yet there are many who do not like me. And that is a shame, but that is their problem, not mine.

Because the way I see it, we are all in this together, we might as well enjoy each and every moment and person that we can. Life is a precious gift and it is too short to waste time on anything so meaningless and petty. Some might say I am naive, but thats alright too, because I believe in the goodness and look past the other. There are some things in this life that are too precious to waste, and if you are scared to go up and talk to someone...or at least look them in the eye and smile because they might act different than you or look different....thats your bad and you just need to get over it.

Then the day will come that will we become what we need to be. We dont always have to agree, but thats what makes it special.

The best advice I could give my son when he left for college was...your are tall, make sure you do not have any boogers.

Now...do any of you get what the meaning of that was? very good. More later.
