Concerning separation.
What if upon the day we're born
We spoke aloud our names
And still posessed a memory
Of there from whence we came?

Would we still go about our lives
Or would we simply yearn
For exitways, to brighter days
To which we may return?

Would we consider consequence
Or bring each other harm?
Could anything seem new to us
or cause us great alarm?

So cruel it seems to live sometimes
With our uncertainties
But perhaps worse, a different curse:
What if there were no mysteries?

What if upon arriving here
I wept onto the ground
Because to you I was not near
And knew you'd never be around?
