*Shamrock* LUCKY FOUR LEAF CLOVER *Shamrock*

I was born and bred a country girl
and country's always in my heart,.
I grew up wearing old blue jeans,
content with my life from the start.

I've played a second-hand guitar
and then I'd sing this old song:
"Take me back to the country,
I've been gone away too long!".

There's a lucky four-leaf clover
in the pocket of my jeans,
and everybody knows what
the four-leaf clover means.

My luck has gotten much better,
for soon he and I will say "I do..."
That boy next door is smiling
and I know that his love is true.

Sure, I still believe in miracles
and I still believe in happiness.
Just what lies ahead for all of us,
will soon be anybody's guess.

So keep on looking for good luck
in the little patch of clover you find,
there is sure to be another clover,
a lucky four-leaf clover like mine.

There's a lucky four-leaf clover
in the pocket of my jeans,
and everybody knows what
the four-leaf clover means.
