A woman's thoughts about her partner.
True love

So you asked me just now. ‘What is the truth?’ I can see from the desperate impact of your stare that you need it now. You need to stay, stood up straight in the presence of your fellow man. I can see that the power of my answer could crumple you into a weak deteriorating creature without bones or hope and although it should disturb I feel a frisson of pleasure from the possible cruelty in it.

This is woman as the antithesis of mother, lover and nurturer. This is woman in all her revenge. This is woman as succubus, sorceress and fallen angel anger flowing free. I decide to grin coolly and placate you with lies that everything is ok storing the truth and its razor sharp slash to be used on a daily basis as I see fit in between my love for you.

Is this not the most natural form of love and togetherness there is? We should renew our vows in black and spawn children to repeat our patterns of derision and denied despair.

When the world spins again there will be hominids doing the same. In the end to the beat of hearts we continue our putrid games.
