a poem of domestic violence
Your fingers strike my keys
As your mouth blows into me
Softly, harshly
To create the perfect tune
Harmonize the mind numbing blows
So nobody can hear but you and me
Except the sound you hear is beautiful
The sounds I hear are screeching harpies
Rushing rivers, bones crumbling
The harmony of vexation
Your grip is everlasting
I’m broken into three pieces
And you put me together
Just to break me down again
There are dents in my exterior
You don’t repair me, no
You just create a song of a caged bird
To feed your inner sanity
