Free form Poem
Outside the rain pitter patters.
The day is grey and languid,
so I stay cozy and safe in my bed.

I embrace a long lush yawn,
the covers comfort I draw in tight,
I glimpse the manly moon, I wave adieu.

Eyes wide shut I enter my dreams,
I see another me flying fearlessly
over red roofs, totally free.

Alarmed I awake still half in the air,
bed clothes sweaty, a sharp intake of breath
takes me to the shower.

The rain pitter patters on my head.
