You isolate me
You denigrate me
By spreading rumor
And gossip
You say that I am
Too arrogant
Don't you see
That I am a nerd?
Haven't you heard?
Yet you tell me
That's how we do it
You see the need
Because of your greed
Do you expect me to
Be amiable under these
Circumstances?
At least I try ………..
I pray to God for you
Because that's the thing
To do…………………..
It strengthens me
It keeps me sane
But don't ask me
To aspire to the higher
Physiological tasks until
The basic ones are met
I am not depress because
I am still bless………………..
I cannot be a salesman
A teacher, or a pastor
Not even a dog, because
Dogs have the humane society
To lobby for them
I will pray with you
And I will read the Bible
