A memorial of time spent under a Banyan Tree
On a moonlit night
In the month of June
We met under the Banyan Tree
You hugged me then as if you
Needed a pillow to lay your head on
And a sanctuary to rest your weary
Body

It was under the Banyan Tree
That we were blessed as husband
And wife by dear old Pastor Wright

It was under the Banyan Tree
That you planted a seed in my heart
Rejuvenating the desire to express joy
It was there that the deliciously erotic
River flowed to freedom penetrating the
Impermeable membrane of the landscape
Until it was soaked with crystal waters

Many a moons have past
But it had borne no fruit
Except pleasant memories
Should we return to the Banyan Tree
To invoke the spirit of joy in our lives
Again?
