Re: The Perfect Storm – Project – Tornado Safety Precautions

Dear Ms.Carpentiere,

April and May are tornado season in the Mid-West.  Tornado safety precautions are a part of preparing for tornado season.

I would like to propose a project that kids can do with their parents' supervision.  Some precautions are  tornado specific, however, most skills are transferable to other types of weather events as well.

For example, picking a place to meet after the storm has passed.  Irrespective of the type of weather event, it is a good idea for families to have a  particular place where they can meet.  That place, in a tornado prone area, must be something other than a building.  Children can provide their input into this simple but important family decision.

I have also attached an outline and a bibliography.

Since I am new to Cobblestone Publishing, I have also attached a writing sample.

I am a wife and stay-at-home homeschooling mom of two boys, ages six and nine.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
