hazards of new shoes
Oh bruise, Oh blister
Oh weary feet
Please just let me
Take a seat.

You begged me from
The store display
Take me home
We'll play all day.

You looked so cute
In pink and black
I tried to run
Around the track.

I went to work
I moved around
Now I just want
To sit down.

You've hurt me so
My pretty shoes
I've worn you now
I guess I lose.

Can't take you back
I've had my fill
Tomorrow you go
To the local Goodwill.
