An inventory of Self
Here I am
This is me
I don’t give a damn
About what you see

I feel like Peter Pan
I don’t want to grow up.
I am the Batman
In a girl’s getup

I want to save the world
But I need to save myself.
I carelessly twirled
And put my life on a shelf

I like pasta, but more importantly sweets;
I eat my cookies with milk
And dance to any beat.
Sweet caresses of silk
Are what I must meet

I like my men, but also my women;
My love is forever boundless
Although my heart is sunken
And my mind full of madness

I like surprises, but never bad news.
I am a spur of the moment
I want some tattoos.
My true colours are vibrant
But depression ensues.

My pictures tell stories
And my stories tell my past
About all of my glories
And imagination so vast

My eyes starlit
And my cheeks rosy red,
I look like a misfit
But my wings are still spread
This is me
I am true
To myself
And to you

I am a rose,
Just blooming in sorrows
